The University of York, UK, is the first university to offer this highly specialised Master of Arts in Teaching English to Young Learners in Singapore. The preparatory course will run from 30th November – 6th December 2011 and will be conducted in partnership with Lorna Whiston Institute of Learning.

This is a 2 year Masters programme comprising 8 multimedia self-study modules, plus participation in an annual 7 day intensive Face-to-Face module in Singapore. Students can choose to focus on one of the following age groups: 4 - 6 years, 6 - 11 years, 11 - 16 years, or 6 - 16 years.

Assessment is by eight module assignments throughout the course, some of which require the students to carry out small-scale classroom-based projects.
