Focus on Phonics and Reading
(This course comprises three 3 hour sessions)

An exciting course for those working with young learners which:

• Highlights the importance of phonics in the development of reading skills
• Develops a better understanding of different methods and approaches for teaching reading
• Gives participants the skills to develop multi-sensory materials for teaching phonics within the classroom
• Helps participants acquire skills to develop word recognition and reading comprehension skills in young learners, and learn how to develop materials for teaching these skills.
• Gives participants a clearer idea about how to differentiate reading tasks to suit the varying needs, abilities and learning styles of different learners
