Using Role Play for Scaffolding Writing
(This course comprises four 2 hour sessions)

This popular course incorporates ideas on how to extend and enrich students’ writing from P1 through to P6.

• Through starting with a picture composition style picture
• Through starting with an age appropriate story / picture / big book
• Through setting the scene through role play
• Through characterisation and building stronger characters for stories through role play games
• Group work is used extensively as a way of brainstorming and sharing ideas
