Using Learning Centres Effectively
(This course comprises two 3 hour sessions)

This exciting new course offered by the Lorna Whiston Teacher Development Unit:

• Helps teachers set up and develop their language centres, which is an essential component of the new primary years programme in local government schools
• Provides valuable ideas and suggestions as to how to define these areas in the classroom and develop resources for listening, reading and language centres 
• Looks at the importance of establishing an effective reading programme in the classroom and how to go about doing this
