Our curriculum has been carefully planned for children aged 18 months to 6 years by our team of Early Years Specialists from Lorna Whiston Study Centres. The curriculum is thematic in order to engage the students' interest, whilst at the same time being carefully structured and having specific learning outcomes for each year group.

The children who attend our pre-school enjoy taking part in many different daily activities designed to develop inquiring minds and healthy bodies. These include:

Sensorial activities through which the children use their five senses to explore the world around them

Play-based learning activities such as dramatic play, sand and water play and creative play

Language and literacy awareness activities Children pick up a love of books and reading and develop pre-writing and writing skills through the use of stories and themes. Furthermore they are encouraged to express their thoughts and ideas verbally in both English and Mandarin by immersion in both languages

Numeracy activities, which are taught first and foremost through a hands-on, practical approach so that fundamental concepts are properly understood

Science and nature studies Children have the opportunity to make their own investigations and carry out simple experiments

Creative activities Our students are encouraged to develop their creativity through many different art and craft mediums, through music and through drama

Physical development activities which develop strength, balance, stamina and co-ordination
