Bachelor of Arts (Honours)
Post Graduate Certificate in Education, Glasgow University,
UK
I graduated from University in Glasgow in 1996 with an honours
in psychology. I spent the following year working voluntarily
in Primary schools whilst I gained my T.E.F.L. qualification
(Cambridge/RSA CELTA).
In 1998, I graduated from Strathclyde University with a Postgraduate
Certificate in Education and worked for two years in Glasgow
as a Primary school teacher. I spent my summer holidays teaching
English as a foreign language to primary and secondary school
students. I taught students from Taiwan, Russia, France, Italy
and Portugal in study centres based in Edinburgh and London.
After a year of traveling in S.E. Asia and Australia, I returned
to Glasgow to become a teacher of English to bilingual pupils
in a Glasgow Primary school. I spent 18 months in this job before
my love for Singapore drew me back here.
I enjoy sports, playing touch rugby and jogging in my spare time.
My other interests include going to the cinema and eating out!
I am delighted to be teaching in Singapore and working with such
motivated students. Living here also enables me to sample all
the wonderful food you've got to offer and enjoy the warm temperature!
