Bachelor of Arts (Honours)
Diploma in Education
London University, UK
Cert. in TESOL
I attended London University where I graduated with a Bachelor
of Education (Honours) degree. I have also gained a Certificate
in TESOL. I have worked in a number of Primary and Secondary
schools in Sheffield, Wolverhampton and London where I taught English
as
a Second Language and Primary subjects.
In 1990 I took two years out and went travelling around the world.
I visited South East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Canada, the
USA, Mexico and Guatemala. As I particularly enjoyed South East Asia
I decided to move here and so in 1995 I came to Singapore. Since then
I have taught in several of the international schools here including
Dover Court and United World College of South East Asia.
In January 2002 I began teaching at the Forum branch of Lorna
Whiston Study Centres. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching local
children and have found them to be friendly, enthusiastic and
hard working.
I love living in Singapore and absolutely adore the weather.
For me it is fantastic to know that every day is going to be
hot! I enjoy the friendliness of the people and the cleanliness
and efficiency
of Singapore. It is great to feel safe and secure. I have now
been a PR for almost two years.
I still love to travel and have been to most countries in the
region. My other hobbies include swimming, music, reading and
art.
