Head of EAL School
Bachelor of Education
Massey University,
New Zealand
After graduating from Massey University in New Zealand with my
Diploma of Teaching and Bachelor of Education, I headed off to
Thailand to work as a language teacher. I spent my first year working
at an
English teacher training college in Dhonburi, Bangkok, after
which I worked for the Ministry of Education setting up English resource
centres in High Schools.
Several years later I am still in Asia and still loving all it has to offer.
From 1999 until 2004, I lived in South Korea working at 2 different Universities.
I was lucky enough to have had time during those years to travel all over Asia,
visiting Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong and parts of
Mainland China.
Now I find myself in beautiful Singapore heading the EAL (English as an Acquired
Language) Department. I feel extremely fortunate to work with such dedicated,
professional teachers in a job that allows me come into contact on a daily basis
with all the different cultures of the South East Asia region.
