General English for Foreign Students:   Students are not required to hold any specific qualifications prior to enrolment.  We accept students of all levels of English proficiency, from beginners to advanced learners.  

School Preparatory Programme for Foreign Students: Students are required to produce a favourable report from their home country school.

For all students, upon arrival in Singapore the Student will be given a placement test to ensure placement on a suitable course. This placement test will assess reading and writing skills in English, as well as grammar and vocabulary areas.  In addition to the written test, the Student will be given an informal oral language assessment in order for the School  to gauge the verbal proficiency in English.   This will help ensure that they are placed on a programme of study that will support their learning and maximize their progress.  

The latest date on which you are to arrive to commence residence in Singapore is 3 days prior to course commencement. 

Students are streamed into the various levels based on their scores achieved in the Placement Test

• 0 to 115 points - Elementary
• 116 to 145 points - Intermediate
• 146 to 155 points - Advanced
