I
really want to study in a Singapore Secondary School. How can
I do that?
Singapore is famous for its excellent Secondary Schools and its
high academic standards. To gain entry into a Singapore Secondary School
you must firstly sit for and pass an entrance examination.
Lorna Whiston is perfectly placed to get you there. For years
our teachers have been teaching English to local students in Singapore
schools. We have a close working relationship with many of the island’s
local schools and have an intimate knowledge of the Singapore school
system and the Ministry of Education’s requirements.
What will I learn?
This course is focused on you passing the entrance examination.
The exam takes place in every October. Depending on your level of English,
we suggest you spend between 5 and 11 months in preparation. We cover
all the topics needed to pass the exam including math, science, Mandarin
and, of course, English.
Which school should I enrol for?
Choosing a school to attend can be a difficult task with so many
options available. You really need someone who can help point
you in the right direction.
At Lorna Whiston, we have guidance councillors who will put you
on the path to choosing the right school for you. Whether you
wish to attend an international, government or private school, we can
offer
you a range of choices and recommendations so that you find exactly
what you are looking for.
