Lorna
Whiston EAL School is part
of the Lorna Whiston Schools Pte Ltd Group which has been established
for 27 years and is well known for being at the forefront of
English language education in Singapore. To date, we have
19 classrooms in 3 branches situated across Singapore to cater
to foreign students who wish to pursue their studies in Singapore.
Lorna
Whiston EAL School provides intensive full time programmes of
study for overseas students who wish to gain entry into Singapore
schools. In addition to providing English Language Programmes,
students can study Maths, Science and Chinese (optional). We
also offer English language
holiday programmes of 1 - 4
weeks duration to overseas students.
We are committed to providing top quality interactive English language programmes to young learners from countries throughout Asia. Students will be of primary or secondary school age, should be of normal intellectual ability and not have specific learning difficulties.
All
of our teachers are fully qualified
teachers with Bachelor of Education degrees or an academic degree
plus a Post-Graduate
Certificate in Education from
their own countries. In
addition to this, they are
all familiar with the Singapore Education system, and the requirements. Our
teachers' qualifications, credentials and experience can be

Head of School is Mr. Scott
Dooley, and there is strong adminstrative support as indicated
on the enclosed organisational chart.
We
are also committed to openness
and transparency in our dealings with students and parents,
and to promoting integrity and trust
in the way we run our business. All
our policies are clearly stated in our advertising brochures,
and information about our
programmes, our policies, our
billing procedures and our charges is readily available on our
website.
In
addition, we have put in place
a Student Protection Scheme
(SPS) for international students
by way of a Student
Tuition Fee Insurance Scheme. Our refund policy guidelines
are specified clearly in our Student
Contract, and the teacher-student
ratio, as well as the classroom sizes
which are set down and specified
by CASE and the Education Ministry,
are also strictly adhered to.
Furthermore,
all our branches are registered
with the Ministry of Education
(MOE), and our courses, as
well as our teachers have all
been registered with MOE.
