Trinity offers the widest and most up-to-date range of assessments in the performing and communicative arts. They are fully accredited in the UK and their qualifications are recognised for education and employment in many countries.

Trinity Drama and Speech Examinations

Trinity examinations in Drama and Speech encompass the entire spectrum of Performance and Communications Arts, including:
Speech and Drama, Acting, Performing Text, Shakespeare and World Dramatists
Musical Theatre, Circus Skills, Design and Costume, Lighting, Music & Communication Skills

The skills of Public Speaking, Interpersonal communication as well as all the Theatre Arts are all represented and there are examinations for individuals, pairs and groups.

The various syllabuses provide a framework for progressive mastery and for creative teaching and learning. The work encouraged extends from the very early years of learning to the advanced professional skills of performer, teacher or facilitator. Trinity is unique in offering an almost free choice of repertoire and the opportunity to combine a number of performance skills in a single examination. Grade and Diploma Examinations form part of the National Qualifications Framework and are offered at Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced and Higher levels.


Syllabus for Trinity Level 4
These examinations are clearly described by their title: they offer assessment of abilities in speech, spoken interpretation and dramatic performance, thereby acknowledging approaches to learning and teaching that are long established and greatly valued. Syllabus 1
Students learn:
How to perform a prose passages, poems and play extracts from memory
How to invent a story using five words given by an examiner
How to create an improvisation and develop it into a prepared piece of drama
How to engage in a discussion with an examiner Teachers

All our teachers are fully qualified native speakers with professional qualifications from their own countries. In addition to this, they are all familiar with the Singapore Education system and the requirements of the Ministry of Education. Their flexible teaching techniques mean that they can incorporate additional specific dimensions into the programme at the school’s request.




Duration

Term 1: 10 sessions
Term 2: 12 sessions
Term 3: 11 sessions
Term 4: 13 sessions

Group Size

Minimum of 6 students and maximuim of 12 students.

Materials

Students will receive a Lorna Whiston worksheet file containing all the
